Which one fits.
Stay with Square if
- You are one chair and want to pay nothing a month.
- Most of your card sales are in person, where Square’s paid plans charge less.
- You already use Square for retail and want one account.
Move to loci if
- You want marketing texts on the smallest plan. Square’s Free plan has none; loci Solo has 250.
- You charge cards on file a lot: 3.5% + 15¢ on Square, 2.9% + 30¢ on loci.
- You want one booking page, client list and checkout built only for salons.

How do I move my clients over from Square?
Export your customer list from Square as a CSV and upload it in loci. The import has a Square preset that maps the columns and shows you anything it could not place before it saves.
Square is free. Why pay $19?
For one chair taking cards in person, Square Free may be the better deal. loci Solo adds 250 marketing texts a month, which Square Free does not include.
Can I try loci before I leave Square?
Yes. The trial is 14 days with no card. Run both side by side, and only move your booking link when you are ready.
